In this poetry collection we meet a female ‘I’ who lives on an island, in a lighthouse she has moved to in order to get some calm and peace. She leads a rather isolated life, but socialises with a grey cat and a female being.
She is disturbed by memories of a person from the past and the knowledge that life on the mainland goes on without her.
Øy, Øy is about grief, loss and writing; about days which cannot be put to rest; about experiencing closeness to nature and remoteness from people; about living with a wish for isolation; but also about longing for that one person.
