Overview Fugler

Arne and Carlos do it again!

With a basic pattern for a bird and endless variations, they take us into the colourful avian kingdom.

They have found inspiration from nature both at home in Norway and in their wider travels. There are bird patterns knitted in traditional Norwegian designs, with or without a matching woolly hat. Some of the birds are knitted to a pattern, and others have
been decorated with grafting stitches, sequins or feathers.

You can play around with different types of yarn, like embroidery thread and glitter yarn. Rummage in your oddments basket for yarn, old sequin bands, pearls, feathers and embroidery thread. The birds can be decorative for Christmas, Easter, summer
or autumn. They can be used in many ways. Use them as table decorations, on table cards or alongside colourful floral decorations. Decorate window hangings with tufts and feathers, or mount them in a glass case like an old-fashioned taxidermy
display. How about decorating an old birdcage or renewing the Christmas wreath for the door?

The only limit is your imagination. Great ideas for presents for someone you love.

The book has clear descriptions, simple diagrams and step-bystep pictures. There are projects here for everybody, including beginners.

The inspiration for their feminine clothes comes from many sources – from Dolly Parton to Japanese pleating techniques and traditional Norwegian dresses.
